Mukta Sharangpani
Bio
Mukta Sharangpani is interested in issues of gender justice and has been an activist in the rape crisis and domestic violence movement for over twenty years. She is deeply committed to service based learning and social change through art, music, and poetry. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Stanford University and has taught across multiple campuses including Stanford University and U.C. Davis. Most recently, she was Visiting Assistant Professor in Asian Studies at the University of Puget Sound. At Santa Clara University, she teaches classes in Gender Studies, LQBTQ studies as well as Women in Transnational Perspective and Violence Against Women.
