My 10th Week

Most immigrants move to the USA for the ‘American Dream.’ For the opportunities. To be a part of the nation that took the first step on the moon. On June 24th, 2022, as the US Supreme court overruled Roe Vs. Wade, the entire world witnessed this giant backward step. The court of law will now make the decisions for a woman’s body. Being a woman and a recent migrant to this country, this decision shakes me. I want to own my body, the decisions I make with my womb. I want the freedom to choose and build my future.
